Generating Business Leads with Facebook Networking

Marketers all know that social media is one of the most important platforms for business growth. It’s one of the most versatile places to look for business leads and you can also use it to connect with influencers that will be more valuable to you than most advertising campaigns could ever hope to accomplish.

But with day users in the billions, it can be incredibly difficult to connect with your intended audience if you’re unsure how to. Even if you are able to catch some attention, there’s no guarantee that they will be converted into sales and there’s a good chance that you might not even be able to generate leads in the first place.

In this article, we’ll be looking at a couple of ways to help you generate business leads on one of the world’s leading social media platforms: Facebook.

Understanding Types of Leads

To start with, let’s discuss the two main types of leads that we will be aiming for.

Direct leads are generated through content that will link directly back to your business. For instance, if you show a picture of a product you offer and include a link, anyone that finds that link will be considered a direct business lead. The type of content doesn’t matter, but the way it connects to your actual business or website is what counts. It could be an infographic, an online gallery, a coupon or even a blog post. If it contains a direct link, it’s a direct lead.

The other type of Facebook lead we’ll be aiming for is an indirect lead. These are a lot more “human” in terms of how they link to your business. For instance, you might write up a friendly blog post and then subtly link to a landing page on your website instead of a product page. Another good example is responding to people on social media such as in Facebook comments and linking to a landing page or review of your product. In short, you’ll be linking to indirect sources of your product.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at a few ways to use Facebook for the sake of lead generation.

  1. A Call-to-Action Button

A CTA button can easily be added to your Facebook page. You can find the Facebook support phone number and contact someone in order to help you out if the steps are confusing or if you’re unsure of how to get started. A call-to-action button will usually read “Sign Up Now” or “Shop Now” and is a direct way of linking to your business website (in most cases) but it’s visible on your main page.

  1. Networking with Others

Networking with other entrepreneurs and business owners is important for the sake of lead generation. You could join a leads group on Facebook and share your leads with others to make new trusted business contacts and expose your brand with the help of other entrepreneurs. Although many business owners typically use LinkedIn and other business-oriented sites for this, Facebook is also perfectly fine.

  1. Requesting Reviews

Many businesses nowadays request their users to make reviews or post comments on their Facebook pages for more visibility. They usually award the users that make legitimate reviews (it’s never a good idea to “buy” good reviews) with something small like a coupon or points to spend in their online store.

These are just a couple of tips on how you can use Facebook to generate leads. There are other methods, but these three ideas will give you a good start on how to use social media for your business.
